Emergency Maintenance 7/26/19 | 4AM - 5AM
The Public Utility District no. 1 of Okanogan County is calling an emergency maintenance window for the early morning of Friday, July 26, 2019 (TOMORROW MORNING) between the hours of 4 AM and 5 AM to address an issue that has been identified on our 10G link between backbone nodes in Okanogan, WA, and Mallott, WA.
This window is being called investigate the issue and take corrective action if necessary. As this backbone link between Okanogan and Mallott is opened at 4 AM and again when it is closed once the maintenance is concluded, services traversing the OKPUD backbone may experience temporary packet loss while traffic on our ringed backbone reconverges.
Over the next several days, the PUD will be updating the Access Points, and the Subscriber Modules (What we attached to the side of your house) This will cause service interruptions as they make the changes. The downtime should be a maximum of 30 min, if you are experiencing longer downtime please contact us right away for support.
Thank you all!
The PUD is launching a Campaign to determine where they should expand the Fiber network.
You can now express interest to the PUD letting them know if you want fiber.
By doing this it will let the PUD know if there is enough demand to expand the Fiber network in certain areas. So however many people fill out the interest form in your area will increase the chances of the PUD expanding Fiber in that area. Even if you cannot afford the Fiber right now, there is a good chance in the years to come that it will become much more affordable to have Fiber installed at your home. The closer the Fiber the cheaper the install.
